An adaptation of Aaron Appelfeld's novel 'Night after Night'. In the sixties, a group of Holocaust survivors live together in a hostel in Jerusalem and struggle to revive the Yiddish Language .

Set in Israel during the 80's, a young boy's role model uncle - a shadow puppet artist - is slowly losing his mind, drawn ever deeper into a web of Local folklore, Israeli Ethos, and unearthly puppetry.

As Zehava nears middle age, her mother pretends to have cancer and refuses to take any medicine until her daughter gets pregnant. During her search for a man, Zehava gets into extremely weird situations, some amusing and some less so.
