The film tells the story of the newcomer bodyguard Gao Tian, who, in order to rescue his kidnapped fiancée, is accidentally involved in an undercover operation to investigate a criminal group. With the cooperation of Gao Tian and the police's undercover falcon, he has gone through all kinds of difficulties and risks, and finally succeeded in rescuing his fiancée and bringing all the criminals to justice.

Set in 1920s Tianjin, northern China, and centres on the rivalry between the son of a martial arts master and his most talented apprentice.
