The teen Gullan and her friends like to hang out in an old film studio at night and tell ghost stories. One night something mystical happens and the kids run away in fear but they return later to find out what really happens in the big old building.

The feeble-minded Sven's mother dies and he gets work as a farm-hand at the rich, affluent Höglund's farm. He has to work without pay and sleeps together with the cows. At the beginning he is greeted with suspicion and his efforts at courting the young ladies are futile.
