A young couple decided to start their life together by moving to a remote village. They encounter a very supportive community that does everything it can to make them feel welcome. In spite of that and although they feel the pressure to have a child soon, there is a latent threat. In fact, the village holds a secret that will change their minds. Rural life is no longer idyllic.

Kazunari Katsuki (Gaku Sano) lied to his classmate that Tokyo stinks. Because of his comment, he goes to Tokyo alone. On his way back, he misses his flight back to Kumamoto. Kazunari only 3,400 yen in his pocket. He becomes confused about his missed flight. At that time, Masami Tanaka (Kaoru Sugita), who works at an airport souvenir shop, talks to Kazunari. On Kazunari's unusual trip back to Kumamoto, he meets many different adults and begins to think about his life.

Ushibuka in Amakusa City prospered a century ago with its fishing industry and red-light district, but has become Japan's fastest declining city. Homemaker Yumie wants to revive the town she loves, and invites her friends to realize an unusual plan at a former brothel built a century ago.

There are three kinds of swindler. One, called the "WHITE SWINDLER", finds a mark and steals money. The "RED SWINDLER" preys on the other sex and steals a mark's body and soul. Then there is the "BLACK SWINDLER". Ignoring ordinary marks, targeting only the white and red swindlers, and preying on their flesh grown fat and corrupt with the money they have stolen, he is the worst of them all. There is a boy who once became a victim of a swindler and lost his family. Later, he turns into the most hideous "black swindler" to deceive only other swindlers. His name is Kurosaki. This time, he is requested by Reiko, whose daughter is sick, to hunt down a swindler named Ishigaki, who has defrauded her of money. But, behind Ishigaki, there is actually a bigger swindle which has even destabilized the Japanese economy…

She receives a call from Sasame (Kanda Masaki), a former colleague who is now working at another company asking her for her help. She is informed that a murder has taken place when she arrives and goes to the scene of the crime. She learns that the victim was her son’s intermediate school teacher.
