Hiroko Nakajima

Manga artist Yuki rushes from Tokyo to Kyoto upon receiving news that her father has been critically injured in an accident. After her father is discharged from the hospital, he goes to a nursing home named Hallelujah to begin his rehabilitation. As Yuki meets and interacts with Yoko, a care worker, she becomes involved in the work that happens in Hallelujah.

Kawai Joji, an aspiring screenwriter who has won a screenplay competition but has yet to make his professional debut, meets a beautiful woman, Naomi, in a rundown bar one day. Naomi says she is working at the bar while aiming to become an actress. Rina tries every means to help him come back to the field as a baseball player.

Kei Omori is a caregiver who has left his previous job at a small-scale care service to come work at a large-scale nursing home. But he is unable to hide his tremendous discomfort with a management style that prioritizes efficiency and risk control in the name of accommodating large numbers of residents. It is under these circumstances that Mieko, an elderly woman living with dementia, moves into the nursing home.
