This is a dramedy that tackles the friendship of five ageing prostitutes who live together in an old house despite their ripe age, they continue being sex trade workers along the bridge that serves as a hang-out spot for customers who are oftentimes tagged as “outcasts”. the story unfolds from the viewpoint of dalena, the central character. by day, she works as an albularyo (traditional healer) outside church, but works as hooker by nighttime. they say she is possessed by mary magdalene. in the midst of their struggles, we get to see how the five friends tackle. life has never been any easy for them… but they live on for the better.

As Father Severino Mallari, a 19th century priest during the Spanish occupation, descends into madness, his life and work as a parish priest in Pampanga is recounted, where he reportedly murdered 57 people to aid his ailing mother.

“Mommy Issues” revolves around Ella (Pokwang), a hardworking single mother who has devoted her life for her only daughter Katya (Sue). Her zealousness to protect her daughter leads to conflict but thanks to grandmother Fenny (Gloria Diaz), they blow over because of the quirky and fun ways she helps bridge the gap between her loved ones.

The film splits itself between two timelines. In 2006, Ada is basing her thesis on a massacre that occurred twenty years prior in a village called Acacia. Her mother Cecilia was part of a fact-finding mission into a massacre, and Ada’s inquiries bring up her history as a member of the NPA. The other timeline traces the relationship of Ka Felix and Ka Jimmy, two rebels who fall in love, despite the movement’s laws against such a pairing.

Charlotte is from a family of beauty queens, but she has yet to win a title of her own. Her final chance is the Hiyas ng Dalampasigan Pageant, and her mother has taken steps to make sure that she wins. But her chances are dashed when the mysterious Samantha suddenly joins the contest. The two become bitter enemies following the contest, but they are soon forced by destiny to team up. It turns out the two have a hidden connection to a mystical past, and must work together to discover the truth about their heritage.
