A year in the life of a turn-of-the-century middle class family, leading up to the opening of the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.

The story of the Buckman family and friends, attempting to bring up their children. They suffer/enjoy all the events that occur: estranged relatives, the 'black sheep' of the family, the eccentrics, the skeletons in the closet, and the rebellious teenagers.

Isabela sprints through the city, eager to get somewhere. She finally makes it to an apartment complex, pulls herself together, and is shocked to find the last person she would expect - her partner B. Isabela is caught and she knows it, and she knows how crazy B can get. While B berates Isabela, saying everything one could ever want to say to an ex, Isabela tries to console her, but only digs herself deeper into her own grave.

A young man falls for a young woman on his trip home; unbeknownst to him, her family has vowed to kill every member of his family.

Eight-year-old Kevin McCallister makes the most of the situation after his family unwittingly leaves him behind when they go on Christmas vacation. When thieves try to break into his home, he puts up a fight like no other.
