A retired detective moves to a rural village in Ireland where he discovers numerous missing children. He takes the investigation into his own hands due to the absence of police.

A young couple's world is shattered when their child goes missing in broad daylight. Shortly after, another child mysteriously disappears from school. When the parents get no help from the police or the school, they band together to take matters into their own hands.

Somewhere in Los Angeles, the city of broken dreams, a stripper is murdered. When Hong Kong Inspector Lee is summoned to Los Angeles to investigate a kidnapping, the FBI doesn't want any outside help and assigns cocky LAPD Detective James Carter to distract Lee from the case. Not content to watch the action from the sidelines, Lee and Carter form an unlikely partnership and investigate the case themselves.
