The Chosen

The film depicts the relationship between a beautiful teacher and a male teacher, popular among female students, an excellent student who tells the teacher about his feelings using an answering machine, and a high school student who bets on whether she can have a relationship with a male teacher. This is the debut full-length work by Hideo Nakata.

Set in 1973 Spain, a struggling encyclopedia salesman and his wife take advantage of an offer to make adult films. The act turns him into an aspring legit filmmaker and her into an international sex symbol.

When two young couples, Lisa and Ryan and Jack and Cindy head for the hills for an intimate weekend at a remote country house, things are looking steamy. Unfortunately, while three of them are looking for carnal fun, Ryan is more interested in writing his new book. But the fireworks ignite when the irresistible force of passion confronts the barrier of Ryan's inhibitions. Soon relationships are tested beyond the breaking point and sometimes, the quiet conservative types pack the biggest surprises.

Young Dutch dropout, Berry, falls in love with slightly older nightclub dancer and ex-nude model Thera and gives up his social live with his dodgy comrades and fine family to make a three-stop 'world tour' together. Suddenly Thera ODs terribly, leaving Berry alone with his obsessive but unanswered love which drives him crazy.

Philip is a computer whiz who wants to make it big. He's after the good life, lots of cash, and lots of women. His chaste and studious fiancee Lili is just not good enough for him. Philip is sponsored by a ruthless "business angel," Jack. Hacking corruption, and seduction are his new weapons. Philip is so successful as to leave Jack behind. His ultimate mistake is to seduce Jack's wife. As Jack's trap is about to close in on him, Lili is the only one who can save him.
