Mr. Hoshi is the homeroom teacher of 2nd Year Class 4 at an average Girl’s School. He spends his days baffled by the puzzles his students doodle in their class diary, forced to take care of the dog someone brought to class, giving advice to a student who wants to be a manga artist, and occasionally going for drinks with his co-worker Mr. Kobayashi. A tale of friendship among high school students striving to perform at their school's music event, only to face numerous obstacles along the way.

Richard lives apart from his wife. He is unemployed. His life is really not running smoothly right now. Rather by chance, he gets into conversation with the director of his daughter's school, who is desperately looking for teachers - which gives Richard an idea. He is a mathematician. And after all, everyone can become a teacher!

Teacher Amarida (Ichihara Hayato) has been transferred to a new school and is still crazy about school lunches. He gets the shock of his life when school lunches are made more healthy but less flavorful. Amarida’s student rival Kamino (Sato Taishi) has also transferred to the same school and is outraged at the changes to school lunches.

To keep using their school's abandoned observatory as a refuge, two sleepless high school students decide to revive the defunct astronomy club.
