YOU ARE HERE is an allegory on the journey of life, especially at times when one feels victimized or shortchanged. The film looks at the way we so casually live in a class system built on blatant economic and social disparities, the way we so want to be fooled by our belief systems. By exploring a counter-point for every point, the film subtly questions not only our material value system but also our emotional value system. The plot revolves around a road trip gone wrong. The idea was to keep the seriousness of the situation but present it in a humorous manner with characters, plots, and nuances that are realistic but at the same quirky and humorous, leaving the audience with a feel-good buzz.

A young boy wants to become a big shot but after seeing the bad things involved he instead chooses to pursue his passion that is singing, similar to his father.
The film takes us into the life of a nine- year old girl, who takes respite in drawing despite the fact that to fulfil her little aspirations like going to school, she has to navigate difficult geographical terrains and occasionally a curfew or a crossfire. By zooming into the microcosm of the girl's life, this short film endeavors to portray the larger story of Kashmir and the negotiations the people in any contested territory have to make in order to deal with the fissures in their geographical and personal identities. As a conscious act of resistance against the infidelity of language, there are no dialogues in the film.
Gaurav lives a wealthy lifestyle, gets everything he wants except the love of his parents and family. Even though he lives with his parents, they love his elder brother Narendra more. After an unfortunate incident, Gaurav joins the army to prove himself to his father, where he discovers a terrorist plot that could put his family and his country at risk.
