Anthony, a naive musical theatre enthusiast from Montana, needs to decide if he can strip all the way down just to stay in town. Hilarity ensues as they realize that "to make it" they're gonna have to learn some new tricks.

A sheltered boy with a dream of starring on Broadway survives day-to-day life by imagining the world as a musical.

A silver-tongued poet and self-proclaimed "King of the Beggars" searches old Baghdad for a rich bachelor to marry his dreamy daughter, Marsinah. Along the way, he poses as the renowned sorcerer Hajj and gets in and out of scrapes with an elderly thief, a dim-witted wazir, and his wife. Meanwhile, his daughter develops feelings for a handsome caliph.

For 25 years, Avron Coleman performed cello with the New York Philharmonic, as well as in numerous important string quartets. Retiring in 1997, this active, talkative, prolific, fascinating man still plays, and recounts tales of music and of his own life in music. The film contains lots of beautiful music by Schubert, Bach, Schumann, Brahms, and others.
