Dr. Vaseegaran creates Chitti, a powerful robot in his own image, but it is rejected by the scientific body AIRD due to its lack of human behaviour and emotions. After a lightning strike triggers emotions in Chitti, he begins to develop human-like feelings. However, Chitti falls in love with Dr. Vaseegaran's fiancée, Sana, and turns against his creator, leading to dangerous consequences.

It's a horrific love story in the heat of the night. The film combined local belief of "PI-POP" (ผีปอบ), the flesh eating spirit in the northeastern Thailand, with modern day-domestic violence. In an old apartment, the death of 14 year old school girl suddenly destroyed everyone's life. Some people blamed themselves. Someone simply wanted more blood.

The existence of which is condemned almost all young people born and brought up to the edges of large cities, in a corrupt because of despair and misery that leads to drugs, murder, and prostitution.

Adapted from an original novel titled Fatimah《花蒂玛》by Chua Boon Hean, 'Sri Menanti' is a poignant portrayal of an intercultural romance inhibited by racial prejudice and segregation, religious conservatism, and repressive social mores. The film stars Malay actress Zaiton and Hong Kong actor Paul Chang as the star-crossed lovers who seek in the Other not only connection and acceptance but also escape and freedom. Released in both Malay and Mandarin-dubbed versions, the film was unprecedented in the Singapore film industry for casting both local Malay and Hong Kong Chinese film stars.
