Backfire

According to legend, a group of women escaped from Atlantis just before the destruction of the continent. They took refuge on a mysterious island, and founded a kingdom. Men who dared approach the island, were devoured by these sexually voracious Atlanteans, and thus they were called "gobblers".

When college student Bill Perry grows inappropriately fond of psychology professor Wilma Tuttle and tries to rape her, her self-defense inadvertently kills him. Wilma then moves Bill's corpse to a nearby beach and makes his death look like the result of a cliff diving accident. But her guilt over the incident builds, and Lt. Ted Dorgan begins to suspect that Wilma knows more than she's letting on.

A film producer murders his star actress during an erotic "game" and makes it look like suicide. The dead girl's lesbian lover discovers what happened, and plots her revenge.

A wealthy, eccentric chemical company owner sends his woman to get an American writer to take a mind control drug, Kemek, to verify its potential. Her ex-husband and a private detective track the killer behind it all to a remote hideaway to unravel the solution.

A popular and common urban legend. Jill is babysitting for Ms. McKenzie, who leaves Jill alone in the house late at night while the children sleep peacefully upstairs. While Jill does her homework, she receives a mysterious phone call. The caller doesn't say anything except: "Have you checked the children?" Jill is confused and believes it is Ms. McKenzie playing a particle joke. After several similar calls, Jill realizes the caller is not who she thinks it is. She becomes frightened and calls the police. Sargent Clifford comes to Jill's aid in solving the mystery of the phone calls. Together they find the origin of the phone calls and discover they are coming from inside the house!
