The Big Heat

"The Big Meet" follows drunken writer Blake (Lane Carlson) on an absurd adventure with a macho stranger called Nate (Mike Genovese) he meets in a bar. Several drinks later, the impaired writer is lured into a haphazard plot to murder his newfound companion.

An ambitious mobster plans an elaborate diamond heist while seducing the daughter-in-law of a ruthless mob patriarch as a determined police commissioner closes in on all of them.

After serving time for sexual assault, a disgraced cop finds work as a private detective and becomes enmeshed in a bizarre web that includes a gangster and his former girlfriend…the same woman who sent the cop to prison years before.

A neighborhood boy might have the solution to his problems, though. For two silver candlesticks, he promises to give Conrad a rare, vicious, growling and cunning animal with supernatural abilities, which supposedly was coveted in the past by Egyptian pharaohs, Borneo pirates and even Napoleon Bonaparte himself. Eventually the trade is made, Conrad gets the creature.

Two untalented singers are mistaken for a pair of major league safe crackers in Providence, Rhode Island. The two are pressed into service by the local hoodlums and quickly find themselves in conflict with their professional colleagues. Romantic interest is added by the daughter of the underworld leader who won't date the men she knows are gangsters.
