The Mudlark

Breaking Glass is the story of punk singer Kate and her meteoric rise to stardom. Starting out in the rock pubs of London, Kate, assisted by her manager Danny, becomes a huge star overnight. Once at the top the pressure is immense as Kate's band are squeezed out and she is left to cope alone in the spotlight.

Bhalwan Singh is desperate to stand against the British Empire, but he is not sure how to do it. Whilst he tries hard, all his efforts go in vain and he even fails to impress the girl of his dreams. Slowly, Bhalwan Singh and his friend, Dittu decide to take things into their own hands and kidnap a British architect. Soon, things start to fall in place for the duo in the most funny way and Bhalwan gets noticed that he yearns for.

A hard-nosed Chicago cop is sent to London to bring back an American mobster being held for extradition. Brannigan in his Irish-American way brings American law to the people of Scotland Yard but has to contend with a stuffy old London first.

Through the experiences of two women in Paris and London, Ghost Dance offers an analysis of the complexity of our conceptions of ghosts, memory and the past. The film focuses on the French philosopher Jacques Derrida, who observes, 'I think cinema, when it's not boring, is the art of letting ghosts come back.' He also says that 'memory is the past that has never had the form of the present.'

Margaret is a nurse in England during WW2, and married to a secret agent. Things get complicated when she falls for David, an American pilot.
