A man who poured his life savings into a new apartment discovers its walls are full of disturbing noises, hostile neighbors and unsettling secrets.

His perfect home has just one flaw — The unrelenting noise from upstairs. For neighbors who refuse to listen, maybe fists will have to do the talking instead.

Nothing is more frightening, as the narrator points out, than a ‘time-rich nosy person’. Exhibit A is Ahn Geo-ul, who commits herself to social justice causes with terrifying tenacity. After temporarily renting a unit in the Baek-sae Apartment building, she discovers that a loud, hard to locate banging noise occurs from 4am every night, making the residents’ lives an insomniac hell – and so she determines to engage in her own disruption and to find the culprit of this acoustic assault, simultaneously eliminating her eccentric neighbours as suspects, and recruiting them to her cause.

The film tells the story of a girl raised by a giant snake in the jungle of No Man's Land who happens to meet Lin Cheng, a young scientist developing a scientific research project. In the mad pursuit of profit by the plutocratic group, the secrets of the giant snake and the girl are gradually revealed and an elaborate conspiracy emerges.

A woman calls a man and asks him to keep her company. Manifestations of their worst fears come through the walls to attack them.
