Does one ever know who they’re living with? Lancelot’s life is thrown upside-down when he learns of the death of his wife. As he’s trying to cope with grief, he will have to confront the revelations made about his wife’s past.

Quiet, organised Dr Talbot meets nightclub singer Nora Prentiss when she is slightly hurt in a street accident. Despite her misgivings they become heavily involved and Talbot finds he is faced with the choice of leaving Nora or divorcing his wife. When a patient expires in his office, a third option seems to present itself.

A deadly car accident brings together a group of previously unrelated people, each of whom is forced to deal with the emotional fallout.
